About this Site:

Practical Purity is a blog dedicated to the pursuit of practically living out the set-apart Christian life in every aspect of our lives — not just relational.  Rather than the classic “Don’t do drugs!” approach to purity, the focus isn’t on the things we’re to avoid, but the focus is on how we can practically live out purity in our twenty-first century world.

As Christians, we’re sojourners — aliens, travelers — in this world because our citizenship is in Heaven.  We’ve been called to be set-apart.  Not to be just a cleaned up version of the World’s system, but something else entirely.  Because in the same way the traveler from another country would standout as being different beyond just the color of his passport, every aspect of our lives ought to reflect the difference in our own citizenship by living God-honoring lives devoted to purity.

Through short, parable-style essays, quotes of interest, book and movie reviews, and videos, Practical Purity attempts to take a closer look at what authentic Christianity and purity actually are, and how we can practically live out the set-apart Christian life.

Kelsey Hough (pronounced “Huff,” for those of you who were wondering) is a twenty-one-year-old Western Washington resident, who resides just outside of Seattle.  She’s grown-up in the Puget Sound area, loves the rain, and — like all true born and bred Washingtonians — she wouldn’t be caught dead carrying an umbrella.

This website, Practical Purity, is the result of Kelsey’s love for writing, her passion for purity in all aspects of life, and her desire to take Christianity seriously and continue to learn how to live it out practically in her own life.

Great Writing, you keep working in your gift, and your stand for Christ. I am very impressed with your site and have been trying to coincidently the same thing you are doing, Sharing Jesus. If you don’t mind I will add your tag to my site for Jesus’s sake.

Thanks for the inspiration

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. I lost track of where your comment was.

Anyway, I don’t mind at all. In fact, I’d be flattered if you linked to my site. 🙂
