Sandi,

Thanks for stopping by. I've been so bad about posting lately I wondered if I even had any readers left. :-)

It's true, non-religious books can translate a message or open a door for discussion about a topic with someone who wouldn't have normally given it the time of day. Also, because simply whipping a few Bible verses isn't going to provide enough evidence for a point, a non-religious book dealing with issues like morality has to be researched and thought-out to a higher degree than most modern Christian literature is; it has to make sense.

Sounds like a good read. I remember reading Dear Princess as a married adult and just weeping over simple, common sense things I wasn't taught. I also sometimes like a non-religious recommendation~reminds me of Dr. Laura's Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands (disclaimer~there are a few expletives in that book!). It can translate a message to someone who might otherwise just not be interested. (((((HUGS))))) sandi
